Accomodations
Participants are free to choose any accommodation that suits their preferences and budget. South Tarawa offers several guesthouses and small hotels located within convenient distance of the marathon route. Two popular and reliable options are:
Betio Lodge
Located on Betio at the western end of South Tarawa, Betio Lodge offers simple, friendly accommodation with air-conditioned rooms, on-site dining, and easy access to local shops. It is a practical and comfortable choice for runners looking for a relaxed base before and after the race.
George Hotel
George Hotel is situated closer to the central part of South Tarawa, offering clean rooms, helpful staff, and convenient access to restaurants and transport. It is one of the more established options on the island and well-suited for international visitors.
Booking & Availability
Participants must book accommodation independently.
We recommend reserving early due to limited room availability on the island, especially around New Year.
Our events are intentionally small, personal, and authentic. No mass tourism, no packaged travel. Participants are free to travel their own way, support local businesses, and experience each destination at their own pace. Climate Front Marathons is more than a race series—it’s a journey across continents, cultures, and climate realities.
