Nauru Marathon (42.195 km)
The Nauru International Marathon circles one of the world’s smallest island nations, beginning near the district of Boe and following the scenic coastal road around the island. Runners pass dramatic ocean cliffs, phosphate landscapes, tropical shoreline villages, and the iconic Nauru International Airport before returning to the finish area by the Pacific coast.
The course consists of 2 loops around Nauru’s ring road with a short extension to Uaboe and back, offering constantly changing ocean views and an intimate atmosphere unlike any major-city marathon. With the Pacific Ocean never far away and local communities cheering along the route, the race combines raw island beauty, isolation, and adventure into a truly unforgettable running experience.
